On 15th December 2019, Pahal Foundation organized a meaningful Sensitisation Workshop for Parents of the Deaf in Ambajogai, located in Beed District. The workshop was conducted with the aim of supporting parents and spreading awareness about the needs, development, and inclusion of children with hearing impairment.

The event brought together parents, educators, volunteers, and community members to create a platform for learning, discussion, and emotional support.

Creating Awareness and Understanding

The workshop focused on helping parents understand the importance of early communication, emotional care, and educational support for deaf children. Expert speakers and volunteers guided participants through important topics such as:

  • Understanding hearing disabilities
  • Early intervention and child development
  • Importance of communication and sign language
  • Emotional support within families
  • Inclusive education opportunities
  • Encouraging confidence and independence in children

The sessions were designed to help parents feel more informed, prepared, and empowered in supporting their children’s growth.

Encouraging Community Participation

Interactive activities and open discussions allowed parents to share their experiences and challenges with others facing similar situations. The workshop created a positive and supportive environment where families could connect, learn, and motivate one another.

The event also emphasized the need for greater social acceptance and equal opportunities for children with hearing impairment in schools and society.

Building an Inclusive Future

Through initiatives like these, Pahal Foundation continues its commitment to promoting awareness, inclusion, and support for specially-abled children and their families. The organization believes that informed and supported parents can play a powerful role in shaping a child’s future.

We sincerely thank all the participants, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this workshop successful.

Awareness, support, and inclusion can transform lives and create brighter futures for every child.
