Indore came alive on 5th October 2025 as the National Consultation on Protecting Deaf Culture, History, ISL Rights & Promoting Deaf-hood brought together passionate voices from across India. Hosted at Ravindra Natya Grah, the event was filled with energy, inspiration, and the vibrant spirit of the Deaf community.

Organised by Pahal Foundation in collaboration with Malwa Nimad Badhir Sangh, Indore, this landmark consultation became a powerful platform to:

  • Discuss the importance of preserving Deaf culture
  • Advocate for recognition of Indian Sign Language (ISL) as a national language
  • Promote Deaf-hood — celebrating Deaf identity and community pride
